Volunteering

Volunteering is the one generosity where your time, energy, skills and expertise can replace the cheque book and reflect your genuine commitment to assisting Kids Future Kids in empowering the disadvantaged children of South Australia.

Kids Future Kids has a unique history of having operated for the last 35 years exclusively on its volunteer support and currently employs a full time Business Development Manger and a part time Activities Coordinator. Our volunteers lead the camps, drive the buses, cook for the children, fundraise and form the various management and activity committees.

Camps

Kids Future Kids camps cater to kids from disadvantaged backgrounds and approximately 6 times per year they get the opportunity to experience and learn new activities and life skills in a safe and secure environment. And above all, they get to have fun!

With poverty a common link among these kids, a weekend where they get to travel to new destinations, make new friends and have new experiences, is an opportunity they would probably never get to have without KFK.  Their single parents and foster care families are also given much needed respite and they can rest in the knowledge that their kids are in good hands are being taken care of.

Our camps take place within South Australia with some of our favourite locations including Victor Harbor, Echunga, Kangaroo Island, Hindmarsh Island and Port Hughes. While we cannot guarantee that all applicants will have an automatic place on a particular camp, we do urge you to apply and to observe our application deadlines and confirmation procedures.

Central District Football Club

All Kids Future Kids camps are funded through public donations. Central District Football Club has been a cherished supporter who assists us with donations from the proceeds of their canteens during footy season. In fact, our unique arrangement with Centrals has enabled our volunteers work at the canteens and in return, Centrals give us much needed funds which go towards the running of our camps.
